2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama is a luxury-level product dedicated entirely to the season’s NBA Rookie of the Year. Every card on the checklist features Wemby — including the two autographs that are in every hobby box.
2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama Checklist Overview
The modest 20-card base set goes through various highlight from the early stages of Wembanyama’s basketball career. Standard versions are two per box and done on Chrome stock. Boxes also come with three parallels numbered to 99 and under.
The first autograph in each box also includes a piece of game-used memorabilia. The back of the card notes the specific game it’s from. Material from both his NBA debut and 1,000th career point game are among them.
The checklist also has 10 standard Victor Wembanyama autographs. Like the base set, these come on Chrome. For these, each Orange Refractor parallel (/25) come with a “#1 Pick” inscription.
Six different Dual Autographs pair Wembanyama’s signature alongside six other Rookie of the Year winners. Topping the list is LeBron James. Shaquille O’Neal and David Robinson are among the others. The list isn’t limited to just basketball, though. A dual with fellow Fanatics exclusive C.J. Stroud is also on the checklist.
All autographs are on-card.
Every 2023-24 Topps Mercury Victor Wembanyama box also has one of 10 different inserts. Among them are cards with art by Chuck Styles and Angel Avilies. For these, parallels numbered to 10 and under are autographed.
