2023-24 Panini Contenders Basketball keeps with tradition. For those familiar with the long-running brand, they’ll know that autographs are a central feature. More specifically, it’s the Rookie Ticket Autographs that get much of the attention. But the checklist runs deeper than just that with more ink from first-year standouts, veterans and retired players.
Hobby boxes come with a pair of signed cards plus an average of three inserts per pack.
2023-24 Panini Contenders Basketball Checklist Overview
Veteran base cards fall under the Season Ticket banner. While physical tickets might not be as common at sporting events as they once were, their legacy continues in Contenders as the design inspiration.
Rookie Tickets Autographs, which are part of the main set, include on-card signatures. Horizontal variations and parallels come in several levels, many of which play off the ticket theme even further.

There are also tough Premium Edition versions that come on chromium stock. Included in these are Gold (/10) and Gold Vinyl (1/1) parallels.

Veteran Ticket Autographs take the base design and add ink. Premium Edition and acetate Clear Ticket versions are available for these as well.

Legendary Contenders Autographs, MVP Contenders Autographs and NBA Ink Autographs are some of the other places to find signatures from veteran and stars from the past.

The 2023-24 Contenders Basketball checklist has a handful of hobby-exclusive inserts. These include Lottery Ticket, Rookie of the Year Contenders, Suite Shots and Superstar Die-Cuts.
Supernatural is a new addition.

As for short print inserts, there’s License to Dominate and Permit to Dominate.
